Questions and answers

Is the Glob Wood Insulated Folding Attic Ladder worth it?
It is a solid pick if you want an insulated wooden ladder with a 352 lb rating and a handrail at a mid-range price. Compare it with aluminum ladders if weight and maintenance matter more to you.
What ceiling height does it fit?
It is designed for ceilings around 110 inches, which covers most standard rooms. Measure your rough opening and ceiling height before ordering, since the ladder is not adjustable.
How much weight does it hold?
The rated load capacity is 352 lbs, including the person and anything carried. That is above the 250–300 lb ratings common on many wooden attic ladders.
Does it come with a handrail?
Yes, a handrail is included along with non-slip treads. The spring locking mechanism holds the ladder folded when closed.
Is it hard to install?
It is a permanent ceiling installation that usually takes two people and basic framing skills. The spring tension must be set correctly so the ladder opens and closes smoothly.
When is the best time to buy?
Attic ladders often see discounts in fall and winter, when homeowners prepare for insulation and storage projects. Check the price history before buying.
