Is the Godox SZ200Bi worth it at $199?

At $199 at Adorama as of November 8, 2026, it is a low price for a 200W bi-color LED with a zoom lens. It makes sense if you want app control and battery options without paying more for a premium brand.

Does it come with a stand or battery?

No. The listing shows no stand included, and battery power requires a separate battery. Budget for both if you plan to shoot on location.

How does the zoom lens work?

The lens adjusts the beam angle mechanically, so you can go from a tight spot to a wider flood without adding a modifier. That saves setup time compared with fixed-beam panels.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes. It has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and works with the Godox app for brightness and color temperature changes. It also supports DMX-style control through compatible Godox systems.

What color temperature range does it cover?

It is bi-color, adjustable from warm tungsten to 6500K daylight. That covers most interview, streaming and product setups without gels.

The current $199 at Adorama is at the low end of its recent range. Prices at the three stores that carry it have stayed close, so watch for bundle deals rather than deep discounts.
