Is this sauce actually spicy?

Yes. It is labeled spicy, and the heat comes from the mustard-vinegar base rather than from sugar. Expect a sharp tang with a warm finish, not a sweet-hot burn.

Does it taste sweet at all?

No. It is unsweetened, with no cane sugar or artificial sweeteners, so you get mustard, vinegar and sea salt instead of molasses sweetness. If you want classic sweet BBQ, this is not it.

Is it keto and paleo friendly?

Yes. It is Keto Certified and USDA Organic, with no added sugar and 0 g fat. Check the 190 mg sodium per serving if you track salt.

How does it compare to a sweet Kansas City sauce?

It is a Carolina-style mustard-vinegar sauce, so it is thinner, tangier and hotter, with no sweetness. Use it as a finishing sauce or mop rather than a thick glaze.

What can I use it on?

Grilled peppers, vegetables, pulled pork and smoked or grilled meat. Its acidity cuts through fatty pork well.
