How much space do the compression zippers actually save?

Gonex claims up to 30% more space. In practice the saving depends on how full you pack; the zipper flattens clothes and pushes out air rather than shrinking them.

Are these cubes big enough for a checked suitcase?

They are small-capacity cubes, so they work best in a carry-on or weekend bag. For a large checked suitcase you would likely want a bigger set or additional cubes.

Is the fabric really water-resistant?

The fabric is treated to repel water and handle small spills. It is not waterproof, so do not rely on it for wet items or liquids in checked luggage.

What is included in the set?

The set has four cubes in the rainbow colorway, each with a double zipper and a compression zipper.

When is the best time to buy?

Packing-cube sets often drop around travel-season sales and Black Friday. At $12.00 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, the price is already low for a four-piece compression set.
