Is $9.99 a good price for this ashtray?

It is the lowest price seen recently and matches the bottom of its range. Two stores list it new, so compare the other listing before buying.

Will it fit in a car cup holder?

Yes. At 3.27 inches in diameter it fits most standard cup holders, and the flexible silicone grips the sides.

Can it handle a lit cigar?

The silicone is rated heat-resistant to 230°C, so resting a lit cigar on the rests is fine. Don't press a cherry directly into the silicone for long periods.

Does it come with a lid?

No. It is an open round tray, so ash can blow out in wind and rain can collect in the basin.

Empty the ash, then wash with soap and water or wipe it out. Silicone can pick up smoke odor, so a vinegar soak helps.

Is it big enough for a group?

It is small, so it suits one or two smokers. For a party, buy several or a larger basin.
