Is the Gorilla Playmaker Deluxe worth $1,599?

At $1,599 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, you get cedar construction plus swing, slide and climbing in one set. Comparable cedar playsets often cost more, but only one store lists it new, so compare carefully before buying.

How long does assembly take?

Gorilla lists 6 to 8 hours, and owners often report longer. Plan two adults and a full weekend, and unpack all three boxes plus the slide first.

How much space do I need?

The set measures 14'6" wide by 12' deep by 10' high, and Gorilla recommends a 26'6" x 24' play area. Clear that space and level the ground before assembly.

The minimum age is 2 years. The 4' platform height and 4' x 3' deck suit younger kids, and older children can use the climbing and swing sections.

What comes in the boxes?

It ships in three boxes plus the slide, at 334 lbs total. Check the delivery for all four pieces before you start building.

With only one store listing it new, discounts are rare. Watch for seasonal sales at Amazon and check the price history before buying.
