Is the Greenworks 24V 8-tool kit worth it for a beginner?

Yes, if you want several tools on one battery without buying each separately. The brushless motors and 24V platform are a step up from entry brushed kits. Expect to add a second battery if you use the saws heavily.

How long does the battery last?

The 2.0 Ah pack recharges in about 110 minutes with the 30W USB-C charger. The flashlight runs up to 23 hours, but the circular and reciprocating saws will drain it much faster. A spare battery is the practical fix.

Does the 24V battery fit other Greenworks tools?

Yes. Greenworks 24V batteries are shared across its 24V lineup, so the pack works in other Greenworks 24V tools you add later. Check the tool's voltage label before buying.

What comes in the box?

The kit includes the eight tools, one 24V 2.0 Ah lithium-ion battery, the 30W USB-C charger and a 6-1/2-inch circular saw blade. Confirm the exact tool list on the listing before ordering, since bundle contents vary.

How does it compare with a 20V kit from DeWalt or Ryobi?

Greenworks gives you more tools per dollar and a USB-C charger, but DeWalt and Ryobi offer deeper tool ecosystems and faster chargers. Choose Greenworks for value and light use; choose the others for pro-grade expansion.

When is the best time to buy?

Combo kits usually drop during spring outdoor-season sales and Black Friday. Watch the price history here and buy when it sits near the low end of its recent range.

Our take on the Greenworks 24V 8-Tool Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit

The Greenworks 24V 8-Tool Cordless Combo Kit bundles brushless drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, circular saw, flashlight and more around one 24V 2.0 Ah lithium-ion battery. Brushless motors and a 30W USB-C charger set it apart from older brushed kits. The impact driver's 1,900 in-lbs of torque and 3,600 RPM are strong for a home kit. It suits light remodeling and yard work more than daily professional use.
