Will this battery fit my Greenworks 40V mower?

Yes, if your mower is a 40V G-MAX tool. It does not fit the newer 24V or 60V Greenworks lines, so check the voltage on your tool first.

How long does the 6.0Ah pack run compared with the 2.0Ah pack?

Roughly three times as long under the same load, since capacity is measured in amp-hours. Expect longer mowing or trimming sessions before a recharge.

Is $36.99 a good price for this battery?

It is low for a 6.0Ah 40V pack, which often sells for considerably more new. Two stores list it new, so compare both before buying.

What is the warranty?

Greenworks lists a one-year warranty on this pack. Keep your receipt, since eBay purchases can be harder to claim on.

Can I leave it on the charger all winter?

Store it partly charged in a cool, dry place and top it up every few months. Leaving lithium packs on the charger or in heat shortens their life.

Our take on the Greenworks 40V G-MAX LB40A010 6.0Ah Battery

This is a 40V G-MAX lithium-ion battery from Greenworks with 6.0Ah of capacity, sold as a spare or replacement pack for the brand's 40V tools. The higher amp-hour rating means longer runtime than the smaller packs that ship with many bare-tool kits. At $36.99 on eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits well below what a 6.0Ah pack typically costs new, so it is a cheap way to extend runtime if you already own 40V G-MAX tools.
