Our take on the Gymax Folding Treadmill 2-in-1 Under Desk Treadmill

The Gymax Folding 2-in-1 is an electric treadmill with a 2.25HP peak motor that folds flat and is meant for walking under a desk or running with the handrail up. It ships fully assembled with a remote control and tracks average speed across two preset programs. Its best new price is $249.99 at Target as of November 8, 2026, the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Pros
  • Folds flat for storage under a bed or against a wall
  • Arrives assembled, no tools needed
  • Remote control included for speed changes while walking
  • 2.25HP peak motor is enough for walking and light jogging
  • Low price for a 2-in-1 folding treadmill
Cons
  • Rated 1 out of 5 across 90 ratings, an unusually poor record
  • Peak horsepower rating overstates what the motor sustains
  • Only two programs and average speed tracking, no heart rate or distance detail
  • No incline and a short deck limit running stride
  • Under-desk height and folding hinge make the deck feel less stable

Questions and answers

Is the Gymax 2-in-1 treadmill good for running?
It can run, but the short deck and folding frame make it better suited to walking and light jogging. Most owners use it under a desk.
Does it need assembly?
No. It ships assembled; you unfold it, plug it in and use the included remote.
What is the top speed?
Gymax does not list a top speed in the specs shown. Treat it as a walking and light-jogging machine rather than a training treadmill.
Is $249.99 a good price?
It is the only new price listed as of November 8, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it to. Given the 1-out-of-5 rating, consider whether a sturdier model is worth the extra spend.
Does it come with a remote?
Yes, a remote control is in the box, which lets you change speed without reaching the console.
Can it fit under a standing desk?
The 2-in-1 design is built for under-desk walking, but check your desk's clearance against the folded height before buying.
Where is the Gymax Folding Treadmill 2-in-1 Under Desk Treadmill cheapest?
At Target, for $249.99, 63% off, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Gymax Folding Treadmill 2-in-1 Under Desk Treadmill?
Rated 1 out of 5 from 90 ratings.
