Is the Haflinger Alaska the same as the AS Classic?

Yes. Alaska and AS Classic are the same slipper sold under both names.

Should I size up in the Haflinger Alaska?

Sizing is in EU sizes, and several owners say the US conversion runs small. If you are between sizes, go up.

Can I wear the Alaska outside?

The latex-coated felt sole grips indoors but is thin and wears fast on pavement. It is a house slipper, not an outdoor shoe.

How do I clean boiled wool slippers?

Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry away from heat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry; hot water can shrink and felt the wool.

Is $89.90 a good price for the Alaska?

That is the best new price across 4 stores as of November 8, 2026. Haflinger slippers rarely discount deeply, so it is a fair street price.

Does the Alaska come in wide widths?

No. It is sold in a normal width, and the boiled wool stretches slightly with wear.

Where can I buy the Haflinger Boiled Wool Soft Sole Slipper Alaska?

4 stores we checked sell it, including Best-Slippers USA, Walmart, Amazon, Zappos.

Our take on the Haflinger Boiled Wool Soft Sole Slipper Alaska

The Haflinger Alaska, also sold as the AS Classic, is a unisex boiled wool house slipper with a built-in felt and latex footbed and a latex-coated felt sole. The boiled wool upper is breathable and warm without being bulky, and the integrated footbed gives light arch support. It is a closed-back slip-on, not a backless scuff, so it stays on the foot better than a slide. The best new price is $89.90 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026, with 4 stores listing it new.
