Our take on the Hamilton Beach 14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker

A basic 14-cup drip coffee maker with a glass carafe, a programmable timer and a warming plate. It has regular and bold brew strengths and a 1-4 cup setting that slows the brew for small batches. At $29.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its usual selling range, so the price is about as good as it gets for this model.

Questions and answers

Is the Hamilton Beach 14-cup worth it?
For the price, yes. At $29.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to brew a large pot on a timer. If you want coffee that stays fresh for hours, a thermal carafe model is better.
How does it compare with a 12-cup model?
It brews two more cups per batch, which matters for families or small offices. The footprint is a bit larger, so check your counter space.
Does it have a timer and auto shutoff?
Yes. You can set it to brew at a chosen time, and it shuts off automatically after the warming period.
What is the 1-4 cup setting for?
It slows the brew so small batches extract properly instead of tasting weak. Use it when you make fewer than four cups.
What's in the box?
The coffee maker, a 14-cup glass carafe and a removable brew basket. Paper filters are not included, so buy basket-style filters.
When is it cheapest?
It is already near the bottom of its range at $29.99. Watch for holiday sales, when drip coffee makers often drop a few dollars more.
Where is the Hamilton Beach 14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker cheapest?
At Walmart, for $29.99, as of our latest check.
