Our take on the Hansgrohe FixFit Wall Outlet Square with Check Valves

The Hansgrohe FixFit Wall Outlet Square is a wall-mounted water outlet that connects a hand shower hose to the concealed supply behind the tile. It has a square escutcheon, a nickel finish, and built-in check valves that stop water from flowing back into the supply line. The best new price is $59.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new. That price sits at the low end of what this fitting has sold for recently, so it is a fair time to buy if you need this exact square, nickel version.

Pros
  • Integrated check valves meet backflow-prevention code needs
  • Square escutcheon pairs with modern square shower trim
  • Solid brass body and Hansgrohe build quality
  • Nickel finish resists tarnish better than plain chrome in some settings
  • Simple screw-on hose connection
Cons
  • Only 9 ratings, averaging 3.8 out of 5
  • Nickel costs more and is harder to match than chrome
  • Requires access behind the wall for installation
  • Check valves add a service point that can clog in hard water

Questions and answers

Is it worth buying over a basic wall outlet?
Yes if you need backflow prevention or want square trim to match. A plain chrome outlet costs less but lacks check valves and the square plate.
Does it fit a standard hand shower hose?
Yes. It takes the usual conical hose nut, so most Hansgrohe and third-party hand shower hoses screw on directly.
What is in the box?
The outlet body, square escutcheon, check valves and mounting hardware. The hose and hand shower are sold separately.
Do the check valves need maintenance?
They are serviceable but not user-cleanable in place. In hard-water areas, mineral buildup can make them stick, and the unit may need to be opened up.
When is the price lowest?
The $59.99 eBay price as of November 4, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range. Watch for seasonal bathroom-fixture sales for further drops.
Where is the Hansgrohe FixFit Wall Outlet Square with Check Valves cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $142.80, as of our latest check.
