About the Hawas For Him Verde Eau de Parfum Spray for Men
A mens eau de parfum in a flat slab flacon of heavy glass, a broad rounded rectangle whose four corners are cut as large even rounds, whose shoulder is flat and only slightly rounded, and whose front sits recessed inside a thick soft glass bevel over a solid glass foot. The glass is tinted in one smooth vertical gradient laid inside the material rather than painted on it, and that gradient stays within the green family from its top edge to its foot: pale yellow-green chartreuse through the shoulder and the top of the face, passing through vivid grass green across the middle, and deepening to a saturated cool green through the lower half and the thick foot, with the bevelled border standing a shade deeper than the flat face beside it and light carried through the whole of it. Inside, one slender tube descends from beneath the cap and curves toward the lower left corner. It closes with a short wide drum cap of polished pale gold metal whose whole cylindrical side wall carries four stacked horizontal bands of pierced gold filigree, an open reticulated lace of small interlocking scrolls that reads at a distance as a row of tiny set stones, the bands laid one directly on the next and separated only by a thin dark groove under a narrow plain rim of the same polished gold. Below those bands the cap passes into a short cone of smooth polished gold, narrow at the top and flaring where it meets the flat glass shoulder, bright and reflective rather than matte, and that cone carries one engraved outline of the same flowing Arabic word printed on the glass below it. Four marks of flat pale gold printing sit centred one beneath the other down the front: a single flowing word of Arabic calligraphy whose closing stroke sweeps out into one long shallow bowl, with one short thin diagonal stroke floating above it; the word HAWAS in stylised capitals whose two letter A shapes are drawn as plain pointed peaks with no crossbar; the two small English words For Him; and the word VERDE in serif capitals standing apart below them. Nothing else is printed on the flacon, and in particular no volume and no strength appear anywhere on its body. The fragrance is a fresh citrus aromatic composition, opening on lime with a crisp green apple and cool herbal accent and drying down through patchouli to amber. One 100ml flacon is included with its carton, a tall rectangular box whose front is a deep green metallic foil, a saturated grass green card with a fine pebbled grain that breaks the light into broader softer streaks of brighter green across the top and down one edge. Set in the upper half of that front is one large near-square panel of reptile scale printing, small glossy scales in olive gold and near-black laid in diagonal rows that meet in chevron bands, with a flat solid deep green plaque at its centre, a wide rectangle markedly broader than it is tall with a thin gold border, carrying the same Arabic word and the same single HAWAS line in pale gold. Below that panel the word VERDE stands in gold serif capitals, and along the bottom edge of the box front, in small gold marks set out in one row, the volume, the strength and the fluid measure are printed as 100 ML, EAU DE PARFUM and 3.38 FL.OZ.
