Our take on the Hawk 1.5 Man Ladder Blind Kit

The Hawk 1.5 Man Ladder Blind Kit is a fabric enclosure that mounts on a ladder stand to hide one hunter plus gear, or two people sitting tight. It uses Realtree Xtra camo fabric that is weatherproof and resists ripping, with a centered zipper entrance and a backrest. At $87.99 at MidwayUSA as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the three stores that carry it new.

Best forLadder stand hunters who want cover without a full box blindSolo hunters carrying a pack or bowHunters pairing up on a two-person ladder standLate-season setups where weather protection matters
Pros
  • Realtree Xtra camo breaks up the hunter's outline on an open ladder stand
  • Weatherproof fabric keeps wind and light rain off
  • Centered zipper gives a quiet, simple entry
  • Backrest adds support on long sits
  • Light at about 1 lb, so it packs in easily
Cons
  • Fits ladder stands only, not hang-ons or ground setups
  • Fabric walls limit shooting lanes compared with an open stand
  • The 1.5-person rating means two adults will be tight
  • No frame or structure of its own; it depends on the stand

Questions and answers

Is the Hawk 1.5 Man Ladder Blind Kit worth it?
If you hunt from a ladder stand in open timber or field edges, it adds concealment and weather cover for under $90. Hunters who mostly hunt thick cover or need wide shooting angles may not need it.
Will it fit my ladder stand?
It is designed as a ladder stand blind kit, so it fits most standard ladder stands. Check your stand's width and rail height against the kit's dimensions before buying.
How many people does it fit?
Hawk rates it for 1.5 people. One hunter with gear fits comfortably; two adults will be snug.
What is included in the kit?
The kit is the camo fabric enclosure with a centered zipper entrance and backrest. The ladder stand itself is not included.
When is the best time to buy it?
Prices on hunting blinds often dip in the off-season and during pre-season sales. The current $87.99 at MidwayUSA is already near the low end of its recent range.
