Our take on the Helly Hansen Women's Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket

The Helly Hansen Women's Ridge Infinity Shell is a 3-layer waterproof ski shell built on Helly Tech Professional and Lifa Infinity fabric. It has a fully seam-sealed construction, an adjustable detachable hood, a high collar and a zipped vent at the collar. It carries no insulation, so it is meant to be layered over a midlayer on cold days. The best new price is $435 at Backcountry.com as of November 7, 2026, with three stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is this jacket warm enough for skiing?: It is an uninsulated shell, rated lightweight for warmth. On cold days you wear it over a fleece or puffy midlayer; on warm spring days it works over a base layer alone.
Is it fully waterproof?: Yes. It uses a 3-layer Helly Tech Professional membrane with fully seam-sealed construction and a DWR treatment, so it is built for wet snow and rain.
Does the hood come off?: Yes. The hood is detachable and adjustable, so you can remove it or cinch it over a helmet.
What sizes are available?: Listings show alpha sizes M, L and XL. Check the Helly Hansen size chart before ordering, since shell fit runs over layers.
Is $435 a good price?: Three stores list it new, and $435 at Backcountry.com as of November 7, 2026 is the best new price among them. Shells at this level rarely drop far below list, so watch for end-of-season markdowns.
Where is the Helly Hansen Women's Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket cheapest?: At Backcountry.com, for $435.00, 34% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Helly Hansen Women's Ridge Infinity Shell Jacket?: 8 stores we checked sell it, including Helly Hansen, Backcountry.com, Skistore Swing COM, Backcountry, Steepandcheap.
