Is the Hercules 20V brushless drill worth it?

For the price, yes. It offers brushless power and a 1/2 in. chuck at a fraction of flagship-brand cost, which suits most home and light trade work.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

The kit includes a 20V battery, a charger and a drill bit set. Check the specific kit listing, because some Hercules configurations ship as tool-only.

How does it compare to the brushed Hercules drill?

The brushless version runs longer per charge, lasts longer and delivers more consistent torque. It costs more, but the difference shows on heavy drilling and driving.

What size bits does the 1/2 in. chuck take?

It accepts bits with shanks up to 1/2 in., including large twist bits, hole saws and step bits. Smaller hex-shank bits also fit when tightened properly.

When is the best time to buy it?

Harbor Freight runs frequent sales and coupon events, and the drill is often discounted during them. Watch the price history rather than buying at full list.

Is it compatible with other Hercules 20V batteries?

Yes. It uses the Hercules 20V battery platform, so batteries from other Hercules 20V tools work in it.
