Hi-Tec Rulen Men's Hiking Shoes

Our take on the Hi-Tec Rulen Men's Hiking Shoes

The Hi-Tec Rulen is a men's high-top hiking shoe with a breathable mesh upper and cushioning support, sold in sizes 9½ to 13 in medium width. It is a budget trail and casual-wear shoe rather than a technical backpacking boot. The best new price is $64.43 at Military Surplus World as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful price spread to compare.

Questions and answers

Is the Hi-Tec Rulen good for real hiking?

It suits light trails, gravel paths and casual walks. The mesh upper and soft cushioning are not built for rocky, steep or wet routes.

Are these shoes waterproof?

No. The mesh upper is breathable but not water-resistant, so feet get wet in rain or wet grass.

How does the sizing run?

It comes in sizes 9½, 10½, 11, 12 and 13 in medium width. There is no wide fit, so shoppers with broad feet should size up or look elsewhere.

Is $64.43 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, at Military Surplus World as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing store price to beat. For a branded high-top hiking shoe it is a low entry price.

What is the Rulen best used for?

Day hikes, dog walks and casual wear where ankle coverage and breathability matter more than grip or weather protection.

Where is the Hi-Tec Rulen Men's Hiking Shoes cheapest?

At Military Surplus World, for $64.43, as of our latest check.

Where can I buy the Hi-Tec Rulen Men's Hiking Shoes?

3 stores we checked sell it, including Military Surplus World, Sportisgood US, Trekkinn.com.
