Our take on the Hidawn Flameless Candles Flickering with Remote and Timer, 3D Wick Acrylic Electric Fake Candles, Battery Operated LED Pillar Candle - White 4"x5"x6"

The Hidawn Flameless Candles are a three-piece set of white LED pillar candles in 4, 5 and 6 inch heights, each with a 3D wick that flickers to mimic a real flame. They run on AA batteries and come with a remote and built-in timer, so you can switch them on from across the room and have them shut off on their own. The acrylic housing keeps them light and safe around kids, pets and fabric. At $17.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, the set sits at the low end of its recent price range, making it a cheap way to fill a mantel or table with warm light.

Questions and answers

Do the candles come with batteries?
No. Each candle takes AA batteries, which you supply. Plan on several AA cells for the set, and expect to replace them with regular use.
How does the timer work?
You set the timer with the remote, and the candles turn off on their own after the set period. That lets you leave them on a shelf without switching each one by hand.
Can I use them outdoors?
They are listed for indoor and outdoor use, and the LED and acrylic won't blow out like a flame. Keep them out of standing rain, since the battery compartment is not sealed for wet weather.
Are they scented?
No. They are unscented, so they add light only. If you want a candle smell, pair them with a scented wax candle or diffuser.
Is $17.99 a good price?
At $17.99 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, the set is at the low end of its recent range. Two stores list it new, so compare both before buying.
