Is the H2Mini worth it over a phone?

If you want to leave your phone at home or keep it out of your workout, yes. The dedicated DAC and clip-on body are the reasons to carry it; a phone with wired earbuds is cheaper but bulkier.

Does it support streaming apps like Spotify?

No. It plays local files from its 64GB of storage or a microSD card, so you load music onto it first.

How is the battery life?

Rated at more than 10 hours per charge. Expect less with LDAC Bluetooth or power-hungry headphones, and more with wired IEMs at moderate volume.

Can it drive high-impedance headphones?

It outputs 112mW at 32Ω, which suits most IEMs and efficient headphones. Demanding high-impedance models will want a larger player or an amp.

What comes in the box?

The player, a charging cable and basic documentation. You supply your own microSD card and headphones.

It is a niche player, so discounts are shallow and infrequent. Watch for small drops around major sales rather than expecting deep cuts.

Our take on the HIFI WALKER H2Mini 64GB Clip-on MP3 Player with Bluetooth 5.1

The HIFI WALKER H2Mini is a 42g clip-on music player in a CNC-machined aluminum body, built for phone-free listening at the gym or on a run. It pairs a 1.54-inch touchscreen and 64GB of storage with an ESS Sabre ES9218PC DAC, native DSD256 and PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit, plus Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX, aptX-HD and LDAC. A microSD slot takes cards up to 512GB, and rated playback is over 10 hours. It is a niche device, so its price holds steadier than mainstream players and rarely sees deep discounts.

Best forRunners and gym users who want music without a phoneListeners with wired IEMs who want a small hi-res DAC/player
