Our take on the High Loft Bed with Stairs

The Maxtrix High Loft Bed with Stairs is a solid wood twin loft that lifts the mattress 52.5 inches off the floor, leaving a full-height play or study area underneath. It ships with a slatted base, a wood headboard and a three-drawer storage unit, and the stairs double as access and built-in storage steps. At $2,539 at Decor 4 Kids as of November 8, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range, so it is a buy-now-only-if-you-need-it piece rather than a bargain.

Questions and answers

Is $2,539 a good price for this loft bed?
It is the best new price among the three stores listing it as of November 8, 2026, but it sits near the top of its recent range. Waiting for a sale is reasonable if you are not in a hurry.
How much room is under the bed?
Underbed height is 52.5 inches, enough for a desk, chair or play area for most kids. The full frame measures about 104.75 by 42.5 inches.
What is included with the bed?
The frame, wood headboard, slats and a three-drawer storage unit are included. A mattress is not.
Does it fit a standard twin mattress?
Yes, it takes a standard twin mattress. Use a low-profile mattress so the top rail stays safely above the mattress surface.
How hard is assembly?
Plan on several hours and two adults. The boxes are heavy and the stair section adds steps to the build.
Can it be converted into a different bed later?
Maxtrix frames are modular, so the same posts can often be rebuilt as a bunk or lower loft with additional parts from Maxtrix.
Where is the High Loft Bed with Stairs cheapest?
At Decor 4 Kids, for $2,539.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the High Loft Bed with Stairs?
3 stores we checked sell it, including Decor 4 Kids, Bellini Baby Boca, Berg's Baby & Teen Furniture.
