Is the Hisense QD6QV worth it?

For a budget 50-inch 4K QLED for streaming, yes. It delivers good color and a fast interface, but expect modest brightness and contrast compared with pricier QLED sets.

Is it good for gaming?

It is a 60Hz panel, so it suits casual console play but not competitive gaming. Serious gamers should look for a set with HDMI 2.1 and higher refresh rates.

Does it run Google TV or Roku?

No. It uses Hisense's VIDAA platform, which covers Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ but has fewer apps overall than Google TV or Roku.

Can I connect a soundbar?

Yes. Bluetooth is supported, and there are HDMI and optical connections for a soundbar, which will noticeably improve on the built-in speakers.

What size room suits a 50-inch TV?

A 50-inch set works well at roughly 6 to 8 feet viewing distance, which fits most bedrooms and small living rooms.

Budget Hisense TVs usually drop around Black Friday, back-to-school and Super Bowl sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the Hisense 50" Class QD6QV Series 4K QLED UHD Smart VIDAA TV

The Hisense QD6QV is a 50-inch 4K QLED smart TV running Hisense's VIDAA platform, with HDR support, Bluetooth and built-in Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+. QLED adds a quantum-dot layer for wider color than a basic LED set, and VIDAA is fast and simple but has a smaller app catalog than Google TV or Roku. It is a budget-to-midrange set aimed at everyday streaming in a bedroom or small living room.
