Is the Hisense 75U8QG worth it?

For a 75-inch Mini-LED TV with high brightness and a 165Hz panel, $1,399.99 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026 is competitive. It makes most sense if you watch in a bright room or game often.

How does it compare with the U8N or U8K?

The U8QG sits in the same U8 line as earlier U8N and U8K models, with similar Mini-LED design and Google TV. The QG version is the newer model, so check the specific brightness and dimming specs if you are choosing between them.

Is 165Hz useful for gaming?

Yes, if you have a PC or console that can output high frame rates. The 165Hz native panel and low-reflection coating help fast games look smoother, though consoles mostly cap at 120Hz.

Do I need a soundbar?

Probably not at first. The 82W 4.1.2 system with Dolby Atmos is louder and more spacious than most TV speakers, though a dedicated soundbar or AV receiver will still add more bass and clarity.

What comes in the box?

Expect the TV, a stand, a remote and power cable. Check the listing for the exact accessories and whether a wall mount is included, since it usually is not.

Large TVs usually drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and pre-Super Bowl sales. With only one new listing at $1,399.99 as of November 3, 2026, watch for holiday discounts before buying.
