Questions and answers

Is the iSteady X2 worth it at $39?

At $39 at Hohem as of November 5, 2026, it is a cheap way to try 3-axis stabilization. Expect basic hardware and an app that needs patience, not pro-grade results.

Does it work with large phones?

Hohem rates it for phones up to 7 inches, but the small motors balance big, heavy phones poorly. A lighter phone gives smoother results.

Do I need the app?

The gimbal stabilizes without the app, but face tracking, pro ISO control and most shooting modes require it. Plan on pairing over Bluetooth 4.0.

Can I mount it on a tripod?

Yes. It has a 1/4"-20 female thread, so it fits standard tripods and mounts. A tripod is not included.

What comes in the box?

The standard kit is the gimbal, a USB-C charging cable and basic documentation. A tripod and case are usually sold separately.

When is it cheapest?

It has been discounted to $39 at Hohem as of November 5, 2026, near the bottom of its recent range. Watch for similar drops around sales events.
