Is the Bondi SR good for nurses and restaurant work?

Yes. It was designed for that: a slip-resistant outsole, water-resistant upper and max cushioning for long shifts on hard floors. The trade-off is weight.

How does the Bondi SR differ from the regular Bondi?

The SR adds a leather upper, a slip-resistant outsole and water resistance. The regular Bondi is lighter and more breathable but has less grip on wet floors.

Does the Bondi SR run true to size?

Most buyers take their usual Hoka size, and wide widths are available. Some find the toe box stiff at first, so try it before a long shift.

It is water resistant, not waterproof. The leather and mesh upper sheds splashes, but standing water can get in.

How much does the Bondi SR weigh?

About 19 oz (306 g) per shoe, which is heavy for a walking shoe. That weight is the main complaint in reviews.

Our take on the Hoka Bondi SR Walking Shoes

The Hoka Bondi SR is the work-ready version of Hoka's max-cushion Bondi, built with a leather-and-mesh upper, a slip-resistant rubber outsole and a water-resistant finish. It keeps the thick EVA midsole and 4 mm drop that make the Bondi line popular for long days on hard floors. The best new price is $179.95 at Zappos as of November 7, 2026, with 5 stores listing it new. That sits near the top of its recent range, so it is not a discount moment.
