Our take on the Hoka Men's Clifton 11 Running Shoes

The Clifton 11 is Hoka's daily road trainer, built on a 42mm compression-molded EVA midsole with an 8mm drop and a listed weight of 236g. It keeps the Clifton formula: soft, rockered cushioning in a neutral shoe with an engineered mesh upper and Durabrasion rubber outsole. The best new price is $140.32 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, the low end of a narrow $140.32–$141.99 range since November 1.

Pros
  • 42mm stack of soft EVA absorbs road impact
  • 8mm drop suits most heel and midfoot strikers
  • Light for its cushioning at 236g
  • Rockered geometry keeps transitions rolling
  • Engineered mesh upper breathes well
Cons
  • Neutral only, no stability posting
  • Soft midsole can feel vague for fast workouts
  • Durabrasion outsole wears faster than firmer rubber
  • Wide feet may find the standard fit narrow

Questions and answers

Is the Clifton 11 worth $140?
At $140.32 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits near the low end of its recent $140.32–$141.99 range. That is a fair price for a max-cushion daily trainer if you want softness over speed.
How does the Clifton 11 compare to the Clifton 10?
The Clifton 11 keeps the same 42mm stack, 8mm drop and neutral ride, so the change is incremental rather than a redesign. Owners upgrading from the 10 should expect a similar feel.
Is the Clifton 11 good for wide feet?
The listed width is B, a standard women's width, so the fit runs narrow. Runners who need more room should look at Hoka's wide options or size up.
Can I use the Clifton 11 for racing?
It is a neutral daily trainer, not a race shoe. The soft 42mm midsole and 236g weight suit easy miles and recovery runs better than fast pace work.
What is the heel-to-toe drop on the Clifton 11?
The drop is 8mm, which is moderate and works for most heel and midfoot strikers.
When is the Clifton 11 cheapest?
Its recent low was $140.32 on November 4, 2026, only $1.67 below the November 1 high of $141.99. Discounts on this model have been small, so waiting for a deep markdown is unlikely to pay off soon.
Where is the Hoka Men's Clifton 11 Running Shoes cheapest?
At Amazon, for $139.82, as of our latest check.
