Our take on the Home Elegance USA Amherst 72 inch Wide Solid Wood TV Stand

The Home Elegance USA Amherst is a 72-inch solid wood TV stand in a dark brown finish, sized to hold large flat screens up to about 75 inches. It measures 72 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 26 inches tall, and weighs roughly 106 pounds, so it is a heavy, furniture-grade piece rather than a flat-pack cabinet. Its open shelving and wide top suit a media wall or living room centerpiece.

Questions and answers

Will it hold a 75-inch TV?
Yes. The 72-inch top is wider than the footprint of most 75-inch sets, and the solid wood build handles their weight. Check your TV's stand width and weight against the top before buying.
Is it real solid wood?
Home Elegance USA lists it as solid wood, which is unusual at this size and price tier. Expect a heavy, furniture-grade piece rather than a hollow particle-board cabinet.
How much assembly does it need?
It ships flat and needs assembly, and at about 106 pounds it is a two-person job. Set aside an hour or two and build it where it will sit.
Does it have cable management?
The open-back shelf design lets cables drop behind the unit, but there are no closed panels or grommets to hide them. Plan on ties or a cable sleeve for a clean look.
What are the exact dimensions?
72 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 26 inches tall, weighing about 105.8 pounds. Measure your wall and doorway before delivery.
