Our take on the HoMedics ShiatsuFlex Massage Cushion

The HoMedics ShiatsuFlex is a plug-in massage cushion that uses rotating shiatsu nodes plus heat on the back, shoulders, glutes and legs. It has one speed and one intensity level, so the pressure is fixed rather than adjustable. The cushion folds for storage and runs from a wall adapter, with no battery or cordless option. The best new price is $169.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with four stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the HoMedics ShiatsuFlex worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want heat and shiatsu in one cushion for back and shoulder tension. If you need adjustable intensity or neck and foot coverage, look at multi-speed massagers instead.
Does it have speed or intensity settings?
No. It has a single speed and one intensity level, so you cannot dial the pressure down. Placement against the body is the main way to control how strong it feels.
Can I use it on my neck or feet?
No. It is designed for the back, shoulders, glutes and legs. Neck and foot use are not supported.
Is it cordless?
No. It runs from the included adapter and must stay plugged in during use.
What is in the box?
The cushion, the power adapter and a two-year limited warranty. No battery or carrying case is included.
When is it cheapest?
