Our take on the Household Round Banana Leaf Laundry Basket ML-6667B

The Household ML-6667B is a round laundry basket molded in a banana leaf pattern, finished in brown plastic. It measures about 22 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 11.5 inches tall, so it holds a decent load but sits low. At $53.19 at Staples as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price we track, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Best forShoppers who want a woven-look basket without real wickerBedrooms and bathrooms with a tropical or natural decorSingle people or couples with small weekly loadsBuyers who prefer wipe-clean plastic over fabric or rattan
Pros
  • Wipe-clean plastic resists moisture and mildew better than fabric or natural wicker
  • Molded banana leaf texture gives a woven look at a plastic price
  • Round open-top shape makes tossing and carrying laundry easy
  • About 22 x 20 inches, wide enough for a full load
  • Light at 7 lb, easy to move between rooms
Cons
  • At 11.5 inches tall it fills fast and holds less than a tall hamper
  • No lid, so contents stay visible and odors escape
  • Plastic can look less convincing up close than real rattan
  • One new price only, so it is hard to judge whether $53.19 is a good deal
  • Brown finish may not suit every room

Questions and answers

Is $53.19 a good price for this basket?
It is the only new price we track, at Staples as of November 8, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare it with. Similar plastic woven-look baskets often sell for less, so check whether the size and finish justify the price for you.
How much laundry does it hold?
At about 22 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 11.5 inches tall, it takes roughly one to two loads. It is wider than it is tall, so it fills quickly with bulky items like towels.
Does it have a lid?
No. It is an open-top round basket, so contents stay visible and odors are not contained. It suits a bedroom or bathroom where that is not a problem.
Is it real banana leaf?
No. It is molded plastic with a banana leaf pattern in brown. That makes it wipe-clean and moisture-resistant, unlike real wicker or fabric.
Can it be used outdoors or in a damp bathroom?
Yes. The plastic body handles humidity better than fabric or natural fiber, though the open top means rain or splashes can get in.
What are its dimensions and weight?
About 22 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 11.5 inches tall, weighing 7 lb. It is light enough to carry one-handed when empty.
Where is the Household Round Banana Leaf Laundry Basket ML-6667B cheapest?
At Staples, for $53.19, as of our latest check.
