Is the HP 17.3" FHD Laptop good for business use?

Yes for office work: the 6-core Ryzen 5, 12 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD handle email, browsers, spreadsheets and video calls. It is not suited to CAD, video editing or gaming, which need a discrete GPU and more RAM.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

RAM cannot be upgraded: 12 GB is the stated maximum. The 512 GB SSD can typically be swapped for a larger drive, but check the service manual before buying.

Is the 17.3-inch screen too big to carry?

At 4.58 lb it is manageable in a backpack, but the 17-inch footprint needs a large laptop sleeve. It suits desk-to-sofa use better than daily commuting.

Does it have a touchscreen?

No. The 17.3-inch IPS display is non-touch, at 1920 x 1080.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, a power adapter and Windows 11 Home preinstalled. No mouse or sleeve is included.

Our take on the HP 17.3" FHD Laptop

The HP 17.3" FHD Laptop is a large-screen desktop replacement built around an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U (6 cores, up to 4.3 GHz), 12 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Home. Its 17.3-inch IPS panel at 1920 x 1080 and full-size keyboard with numeric keypad suit spreadsheet and document work, and Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.3 cover modern wireless. At 4.58 lb it is light for its screen class, but the 12 GB of RAM is soldered and not upgradable. No price was provided, so its current cost cannot be compared with its recent range.
