Is the HP 17.3-inch laptop good for gaming?

No. It relies on Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics with no dedicated GPU, so it handles casual and older titles at low settings but not modern games.

Is 32 GB RAM overkill for everyday use?

For web browsing and email, yes. It pays off with many browser tabs, large spreadsheets, virtual machines or photo editing, and it means no memory upgrade later.

How does the Core i7-1355U compare to an H-series chip?

The 1355U is a low-power 13th-gen chip built for battery life and light work. H-series chips are faster for sustained heavy tasks like video editing but run hotter and drain more.

Is a 17.3-inch laptop too big to carry?

It is fine as a desk machine moved occasionally, but it is heavy and bulky for daily commuting or air travel. A 14- or 15-inch model is easier to carry.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, its power adapter and paperwork. RAM and SSD are already installed at 32 GB and 1 TB.

When is the best time to buy it?

With only one store listing it new at $1,199.00 as of November 7, 2026, watch for holiday sales and back-to-school events, when HP laptops typically see their deepest cuts.

Our take on the HP 17.3-inch Full HD Laptop

A large-screen desktop-replacement laptop: 17.3-inch Full HD display, Intel Core i7-1355U, 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD, running Windows 11. The big screen and generous memory suit spreadsheets, multitasking and long sessions at a desk, while the U-series chip and integrated Iris Xe graphics keep it to everyday work rather than gaming. Its best new price is $1,199.00 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.
