Is the HP Laptop 17 good for everyday use?

Yes for web browsing, email, documents and streaming. The 32 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD keep it responsive, but the Core i3-N305 limits heavy multitasking and gaming.

Only light or older titles at low settings. Intel UHD Graphics is integrated, so modern 3D games will be slow or unplayable.

Is the 17.3-inch screen too big to carry?

It is fine as a desk machine but heavy for daily commuting. If you carry a laptop every day, a 14- or 15-inch model is easier.

Does it come with Windows 11 Pro?

Yes, Windows 11 Pro is listed as the operating system, which adds BitLocker and remote desktop over the Home edition.

Our take on the HP Laptop 17

The HP Laptop 17 is a 17.3-inch desktop-replacement notebook with a 1920 x 1080 screen, a backlit keyboard and a full set of ports including USB-C. This configuration pairs an Intel Core i3-N305 with 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD, which is far more memory and storage than the chip normally ships with. Its $614.99 best new price at Amazon as of November 7, 2026 is the only new price we can compare, so there is no recent range to judge it against.
