Is the HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101sdw worth it?

For a small office that prints mostly black-and-white documents, yes. Duplex printing, an ADF and a touchscreen cover everyday copy and scan work. If you need color or photos, it is the wrong machine.

Does it print in color?

No. It is a monochrome laser printer with a single black toner cartridge, so output is black and white only.

Can it print on both sides automatically?

Yes. Automatic duplex printing is built in, so you do not have to flip pages by hand.

What comes in the box?

You get the printer, a starter black toner cartridge, a power cord and setup documentation. A USB cable is not always included, so check before you buy if you plan to connect by wire.

Does it work with Linux and Windows 11?

Yes. HP lists Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux support, and it connects over Wi-Fi.

When is the price lowest?

Laser printers like this tend to dip during back-to-school and holiday sales. The best new price was $346.98 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, so compare against that before buying.
