The HP OMEN Transcend 32 is a 31.5-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate, near-instant pixel response and USB-C, HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. QD-OLED gives it deep blacks, wide viewing angles and vivid color, and it includes built-in speakers. Best forCompetitive PC gamers who want 4K at 240HzConsole players on PS5 or Xbox Series XMixed gaming and desktop work on one screenBuyers upgrading from a 1440p or IPS panel
Pros
  • 4K resolution at 240Hz with OLED-level motion clarity
  • QD-OLED panel delivers deep blacks and strong color volume
  • USB-C input adds single-cable laptop docking
  • Built-in speakers mean no separate soundbar needed
  • Energy Star and EPEAT registered
Cons
  • 250 cd/m² brightness is modest for bright rooms and HDR highlights
  • 31.5-inch 4K text is sharp but OLED subpixel layout can soften small fonts
  • OLED panels carry long-term burn-in risk with static desktop elements
  • No listed HDMI 2.1 detail, so console 4K/120 support should be confirmed

Questions and answers

Is $699.99 a good price for this monitor?
Yes. At $699.99 at Best Buy as of November 5, 2026, it is at the low end of its recent range and well under what 4K 240Hz OLED monitors usually cost.
Can it run 4K at 240Hz over DisplayPort?
Yes, DisplayPort supports the full 3840 x 2160 at 240Hz. Check your GPU and cable support DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC.
Does it work well with a PS5 or Xbox Series X?
It has HDMI inputs and 4K resolution, but confirm the HDMI version supports 4K/120 with VRR before buying for console use.
Is 32 inches too big for a desk?
At 31.5 inches it suits a desk about 30 inches deep or more. Closer seating makes 4K text small unless you use display scaling.
Do I need to worry about OLED burn-in?
There is some risk with static elements like taskbars. Use screensavers, hide the taskbar and let the panel run its pixel refresh cycle.
Does it have speakers and USB-C?
