Is the HP OmniBook X 17 good for gaming?

Only for light gaming. The integrated Arc 140V runs older and casual titles at 1080p, but demanding games need low settings. There is no discrete GPU option.

Is a 1080p screen enough at 17.3 inches?

It is usable, but text and icons look less sharp than on a 2.5K panel of the same size. If you work with fine detail or lots of text, compare it side by side before buying.

How does it compare with the 14-inch OmniBook X?

The 14-inch model is far easier to carry and often has a sharper display. This 17-inch version trades portability for screen space and a bigger 2TB drive.

Is 32GB of RAM worth it?

Yes if you keep many tabs, large spreadsheets or virtual machines open. For basic browsing and email, 16GB would be enough and cheaper.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, a power adapter and the usual paperwork. A stylus and external mouse are not included.

The best new price was $1,499.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, at the top of its recent range. Big-screen laptops like this usually drop during back-to-school and holiday sales.

Our take on the HP OmniBook X 17.3" Touch Laptop Ultra 7-258V 32GB 2TB

The HP OmniBook X 17 is a 2025 big-screen laptop built around Intel's Core Ultra 7 258V, a low-power 8-core chip with integrated Arc 140V graphics. This configuration pairs it with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 2TB SSD, which is generous for a mainstream machine. The 17.3-inch IPS touchscreen is only 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz, so text is less sharp than on smaller high-resolution panels. At $1,499.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range; two stores list it new.
