Our take on the HSH Dream 1000 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Sheets – Deep Pocket Luxury Bed Set

The HSH Dream 1000 Thread Count set is a four-piece Egyptian cotton sheet set with a 16-inch deep pocket, sold in Twin through California King. The 1,000 thread count is the headline claim; treat it as a marketing figure, since cotton sheets at that count are usually plied yarns rather than finer single threads. It suits shoppers who want a heavy, crisp hotel-style cotton sheet rather than a soft sateen or linen feel. No current price was supplied for this page, so check the live comparison before buying.

Best forBuyers with mattresses up to 16 inches deepPeople who prefer crisp, weighty cotton over silky sateenGuest rooms and rentals that need durable white beddingShoppers wanting a full four-piece set in one purchase
Pros
  • Four pieces included: flat sheet, fitted sheet and two pillowcases (one in Twin sizes)
  • 16-inch deep pocket fits thick mattresses and toppers
  • 100% cotton breathes better than microfiber
  • Solid colorway works with most bedroom styles
  • Wide size range from Twin XL to California King
Cons
  • 1,000 thread count is likely a multi-ply count, not finer yarn
  • Heavy cotton can feel stiff until several washes
  • Wrinkles easily; needs ironing for a crisp look
  • Deep pockets can look loose on thinner mattresses
  • No current price listed, so value is hard to judge

Questions and answers

Is a 1,000 thread count actually better?
Not necessarily. Many 1,000-count cotton sheets count plied yarns, so the fabric is not finer than a good 300 to 400 count single-ply sheet. Judge by feel and weight, not the number alone.
Will these fit a mattress with a topper?
The fitted sheet is rated for mattresses up to 16 inches deep, which covers most pillow-tops and thin toppers. Measure your total height before ordering.
How many pillowcases come in the set?
The set is four pieces: flat sheet, fitted sheet and two pillowcases. Twin and Twin XL sets typically include one pillowcase, so confirm the count for your size.
Are they soft out of the box?
Expect a crisp, slightly stiff feel at first. Cotton at this weight softens over several washes, so wash before first use.
Do they shrink or wrinkle?
Cotton can shrink slightly on the first hot wash, so use cool water and low heat. They will wrinkle; remove promptly or iron for a smooth look.
When is the best time to buy?
Sheet sets usually drop during white sales in January and around major holiday events. Check the price history to see whether the current price is near its low.
