Is the Husqvarna 525BX worth it?

For large yards and heavy leaf seasons, yes. It delivers strong air volume in a backpack format at $299.99 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026. For small lots, a lighter handheld or battery blower is easier to live with.

How loud is the 525BX?

It is rated at 106 dB at the source, which is loud enough to require hearing protection. The 70 dB figure refers to a lower measurement condition, not normal operating volume.

What fuel mix does it use?

It is a two-stroke gas engine, so it runs on a gasoline and oil mix rather than straight gas. Check the owner's manual for the exact ratio before fueling.

How big is the fuel tank?

The tank holds 0.119 gal, which is small for a backpack blower. Expect to refill more often than with larger-tank models on long cleanup jobs.

How heavy is it to carry?

The unit weighs 9.7 lb, carried on the back rather than in the hands. The anti-vibration handle helps reduce fatigue during long sessions.

When is the price lowest?

Gas leaf blowers usually see the deepest discounts in late fall clearance and spring promotions. Track the 525BX price history to see how $299.99 at Lowe's compares with past lows.
