Questions and answers

Is the Hydeline Alton Bay worth it?
It is a strong pick if you want a real top-grain leather Chesterfield with a solid wood frame and coil-and-foam seats. Its 4.9 out of 5 rating from 21 ratings supports that, but confirm the current price against its price history first.
How does it compare with cheaper bonded-leather sofas?
Top-grain leather, a kiln-dried wood frame and pocketed coils should outlast bonded leather over particle board. Bonded leather sofas cost less but tend to peel and sag sooner.
Is the seat firm or soft?
It leans firm. Pocketed coils, 2.25 lb high-resiliency foam and a memory foam layer give support rather than a deep sink-in feel.
Will the sofa fit my room?
The sofa is 91 inches long, 39 inches deep and 31.5 inches high, with a 19.5-inch seat height. The four-piece sectional is 132 by 108 inches, so measure doorways and the room before ordering.
Are the cushions removable?
The seat cushions are removable, which helps with cleaning and rotating them. The tufted back is fixed.
When is it cheapest?
Leather upholstery usually discounts around major holiday sales and end-of-season clearances. Check the price history on this page to see how the current price compares with past lows.
