- Is the Designer Ovation 42 worth the price?
- It is a niche product: a jetted tub in a 42-inch size. If your bathroom can't fit a larger whirlpool, the $3,756 price at Plumbing Overstock as of November 6, 2026 buys a compact jetted tub that few rivals match. If space allows a standard tub, you can usually get more tub for less.
- What are the exact dimensions?
- The model name gives a 42-inch length, but the full width, height and cutout dimensions aren't listed here. Confirm them with the store or Hydro Systems before framing the deck, since drop-in tubs need a precise opening.
- Does it come with a faucet and drain?
- Whirlpool tubs are typically sold as the shell and pump only. Assume the faucet, drain, overflow and trim are separate purchases unless the listing says otherwise.
- How is it installed?
- It is a drop-in tub, so it sits in a framed deck with a finished surround. The pump and jet plumbing need a service access panel, so plan that into the build.
- When is the best time to buy?
- With only two stores listing it, discounts are rare. Watch the price history and buy when a store runs a bath fixture sale rather than waiting for a steep drop.
