Is the Hyper E-Ride worth it?

At $699.99 it is one of the cheaper cruiser-style e-bikes, and you get a removable battery and 7-speed gearing. Expect short range and basic components rather than a refined ride.

How far can it go on a charge?

Hyper lists up to 20 miles, or about one hour of riding, though other spec lines say 15 miles. Real range drops with rider weight, hills and heavy pedal assist.

The listed top speed is 15.5 mph in one spec set and 20 mph in another. It is pedal assist, not throttle-only, so speed depends on how hard you pedal.

How long does the battery take to charge?

About four hours from empty. The battery is removable with a lock and key, so you can charge it indoors.

What is the weight limit?

Hyper lists a maximum rider weight of 231 lbs (105 kg) in one place and 275 lbs in another. Treat the lower figure as the safe limit.

The only new price found is $699.99 at Hyper Bicycles as of November 4, 2026. Cruiser e-bikes often drop around spring sales and end-of-season clearance, so watch for those windows.
