Our take on the HyperX Bundle Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless Headset + QuadCast 2 S Micropho

This bundle pairs the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless gaming headset with the QuadCast 2 S USB microphone, a setup aimed at streamers and gamers who want one box for both listening and recording. The headset's headline figure is 250 hours of battery life, roughly double most wireless gaming headsets, plus simultaneous 2.4GHz and Bluetooth so you can take calls mid-game. The 53mm dual-chamber drivers and a reprogrammable RGB base station that handles volume, EQ and device switching round out the headset. No current price was supplied for this listing, so check the live comparison before buying.

Best forStreamers who want a headset and mic in one purchaseGamers who hate charging and want multi-day batteryPlayers who take calls or play music over Bluetooth while gamingBuyers who like tuning audio from a desktop base station
Pros
  • 250 hours of battery life, about twice typical gaming headsets
  • Simultaneous 2.4GHz and Bluetooth for calls or music during play
  • 53mm dual-chamber drivers for strong bass and clear highs
  • Reprogrammable RGB base station with volume and device switching
  • QuadCast 2 S adds a dedicated USB mic for streaming and voice chat
Cons
  • Two-piece bundle costs more than buying either item alone on sale
  • Base station takes desk space and needs its own connection
  • On-ear fit can clamp and leak sound more than over-ear designs
  • Bluetooth alone adds latency, so competitive play needs the 2.4GHz dongle

Questions and answers

Is this bundle worth it over buying the two separately?
Only if the combined price beats the sum of the headset and mic on their own. Bundles rarely discount much, so compare both against separate listings before committing.
How does the Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless compare with the original Cloud Alpha Wireless?
The Alpha 2 adds the RGB base station, device switching and simultaneous Bluetooth alongside 2.4GHz. Battery life stays in the same 250-hour class.
Does the 250-hour battery figure hold up in real use?
It assumes modest volume and RGB off. With the base station lighting on and heavy Bluetooth use, expect noticeably less, though still weeks of typical play.
Can I use the headset on a console and the mic on a PC at the same time?
Yes. The headset's 2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth can connect to different devices, and the QuadCast 2 S is a separate USB mic, so a console-plus-PC setup works.
What is in the box?
You get the Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless headset, its 2.4GHz dongle and RGB base station, plus the QuadCast 2 S microphone with its stand and USB cable. Check the listing for exact cable lengths.
When is this bundle cheapest?
HyperX gear typically drops during Black Friday, Prime Day and back-to-school sales. Price history on this page shows whether the current figure is near the low.
