Is the BESTÅ TV bench worth it?

It is a good fit if you want closed, modular storage in a compact 120 cm footprint and value the 10-year warranty. At $538.27 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026, compare against buying the frame and doors directly from IKEA, which is usually cheaper.

What size TV fits on it?

The top is 120 cm (47 1/4 in) wide and rated for 44 lbs per surface, so TVs up to roughly 55 inches with a centered stand fit comfortably. Larger sets should be wall mounted.

Does it come with wall-mounting hardware?

No. Wall suspension requires two BESTÅ suspension rails, sold separately. The bench can also stand on legs or a base, which are not included with the frame.

How many boxes does it ship in?

Seven packages: frame, two doors, hinges and shelves ship separately. Check that all arrive before starting assembly.

Can I change the doors later?

Yes. It is part of the BESTÅ system, so Lappviken, Stubbarp and other compatible doors, tops and legs can be swapped without replacing the frame.

IKEA family sales and seasonal promotions are the usual low points. As of November 3, 2026, the only new price found is $538.27 at Amazon.

The BESTÅ TV bench is a 120 cm (47 1/4 in) wide, 42 cm deep, 64 cm tall media unit with two doors, two adjustable shelves and a 44 lb max load per surface. It uses IKEA's modular BESTÅ system, so frames, doors and legs can be swapped later, and it carries a 10-year limited warranty.
