Does the FRIHETEN come with a mattress?

No separate mattress. The seat cushions form the bed surface when the frame is pulled out and the back is folded down.

Can I wash the covers?

Yes. The slipcovers are removable and machine washable, though repeated washing speeds up wear.

What size bed does it make?

It makes roughly a full/double-size sleeping surface, about 140 cm wide.

Does it fit through a standard door?

It ships flat-packed and is assembled in the room, so it goes through normal doorways in boxes.

Is it good for everyday sleeping?

It is meant for occasional guests. Most owners find it too firm for nightly use.

Our take on the IKEA FRIHETEN Sleeper Sofa

The FRIHETEN is IKEA's corner sleeper sofa with built-in storage under the chaise. It converts to a bed by pulling the seat forward and folding down the back, and the chaise lifts to reveal a large storage compartment. It is a popular small-space piece, but the conversion and the fabric covers are the usual points of debate among owners.
