Our take on the Ikiriska Blackout Extra Long Custom Drape

The Ikiriska Blackout Extra Long Custom Drape is a made-to-order grommet panel in a polyester-linen blend, 100 inches wide and cut to your length. The blackout lining blocks most incoming light, and the pleated header gives a fuller, more tailored hang than flat panels. It is a custom item, so expect a production lead time before shipping. No current price was provided for this listing, so compare the quote against in-stock 100-inch blackout panels before ordering.

Pros
  • 100-inch width covers large openings with one panel
  • Blackout lining limits light and glare
  • Polyester-linen blend resists wrinkles better than pure linen
  • Grommet top installs on a standard rod without hooks
  • Pleated header adds fullness
Cons
  • Custom sizing means a production wait and no easy returns
  • White blackout fabric can show smudges and dust
  • Grommet top gives a casual look, not a formal pleat
  • Polyester-linen blends can be dry-clean only
  • Price depends on size, so cost is hard to compare

Questions and answers

Is this drape worth it over an in-stock blackout panel?
It is worth it if you need an exact length or a 100-inch width that stock panels don't offer. If a standard 84- or 96-inch panel fits, an in-stock option is cheaper and ships faster.
How much light does the blackout lining block?
Blackout lining blocks most direct light, but grommet tops leave small gaps at the rod. For near-total darkness in a bedroom, add a return or overlap the panels.
What length should I order?
Measure from the rod to the floor, then add 1 to 2 inches for grommet drop and hem clearance. Ordering a custom length is the main reason to choose this panel.
Does it come with a rod or hardware?
No. The panel has grommets only, so you supply the rod and brackets. Check that your rod fits standard grommet openings before ordering.
How do I clean a polyester-linen blackout drape?
Spot clean or vacuum with a brush attachment; most lined blends should be dry-cleaned. Machine washing can damage the blackout coating.
When is the best time to buy?
Custom drapes rarely go on deep discount, so watch for store-wide sales rather than waiting on this item. Compare the quote with stock 100-inch blackout panels first.
