No. It is an inert replica of the POM Z stake mine with no explosive content and no working fuze. It is meant for training and display only.

What is the real POM Z?

A Soviet-era stake-mounted fragmentation mine triggered by a tripwire. The body sits on a stake above ground and a pull on the wire fires it. It has been found in many conflicts since the 1950s.

Who is this replica for?

Adults in mine-awareness, demining or EOD training, plus museums and collectors of inert ordnance. It is not suitable for children.

The listing gives the material as wood. That makes it lighter and cheaper than a metal mock-up, but less faithful to the real steel body.

Does it come with a tripwire or stake?

The listing does not say what is included beyond the replica itself. Ask the seller before buying if you need a wire or mounting stake for a class setup.

When is the best time to buy?

Training replicas like this rarely go on deep discount. Compare prices across sellers and check shipping, since there is no listed price to track here.

Our take on the Inert Replica POM Z stake mine

This is a non-functional training replica of the Soviet POM Z stake mine, a tripwire-fuzed fragmentation mine used from the 1950s onward. The real POM Z is a stake-mounted body holding a small charge and a cast fragmentation sleeve, fired by a pull tripwire. The replica is sold as an inert instructional aid for mine-awareness and EOD training, not as a weapon. No price was provided for this listing, so there is no current figure to compare against a recent range.
