Is the Evolution Excel worth it over a cheaper disposal?

If you cook often and grind bones, peels and fibrous scraps, the 1 HP motor and three-stage grind justify the premium. For light use, a 3/4 HP model costs less and does the job.

How is it different from the Evolution Compact or Select?

The Excel has a 1 HP motor and three grinding stages, while the Compact and Select are lower-power, two-stage units. The Excel grinds faster and handles tougher waste.

Does it come with a power cord?

No. Most installations are direct-wired to a 120 V, 10.2 Amp circuit. A plug-in cord kit is sold separately if you have an outlet under the sink.

Will it fit my existing sink mount?

It uses the Quick-Lock mount, which fits standard 3-1/2 inch sink openings. If you already have an InSinkErator mount, the swap is quick; other brands need the included adapter.

The disposal, Quick-Lock mounting assembly, built-in air switch and drain connection parts for a 1-1/2 inch drain. A power cord is not included.

When is the best time to buy?

Prices tend to dip around Black Friday and major appliance sales. Compare the current price with its recent range before buying.
