Is this a pressure cooker or just the pot?

It is only the inner cooking pot. You need a compatible Instant Pot base to cook with it.

Which Instant Pot models does it fit?

It is an 8-inch round insert, the size used by many 6-quart Instant Pot models. Check your cooker's insert dimensions before ordering, because 3-quart and 8-quart units use different sizes.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes. The pot is dishwasher safe, though scrubbing stuck-on browning first helps.

Why does food stick to it?

Bare stainless steel sticks when heated dry or on high saute. Add oil and stir, and deglaze with liquid before pressure cooking.

Is $24.00 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $24.00 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, so there is little to compare against. Spare inserts often sell in the $20 to $30 range.

Where is the Instant Pot Inner Cooking cheapest?

Our take on the Instant Pot Inner Cooking

This is the stainless-steel inner cooking pot that drops into Instant Pot electric pressure cookers, not a cooker itself. It is round, 8 inches across and 5 inches tall, holds about 0.74 gallons, and has a measurement scale inside. It is dishwasher safe and weighs under a pound. The best new price is $24.00 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new.
