Our take on the InStyleDesign Regal Black Adjustable Curtain Track Set, 28 to 48 inches

The InStyleDesign Regal is a wall-mounted metal curtain track that adjusts from 28 to 48 inches, so one set covers most standard and narrow windows. It is a traverse track: a baton moves the hooks with clips along the rail instead of pulling the fabric by hand. The set includes brackets, mounting hardware, the baton and clip hooks. At $47.24 at Overstock as of November 4, 2026, it is the best new price among the two stores that carry it.

Best forSliding glass doors and wide windowsRenters who want a clean, low-profile lookHeavy or lined curtains that need smooth glidingSmall windows under 48 inches wide
Pros
  • Adjustable 28 to 48 inch span fits many window sizes
  • Traverse baton pulls curtains without touching the fabric
  • Metal rail handles heavier drapes better than thin rods
  • Full set: brackets, hardware, baton and clip hooks included
  • Slim black finish suits modern and traditional rooms
Cons
  • Ceiling mount is not offered; wall mount only
  • 48 inch maximum limits it to smaller windows and doors
  • Single rod, so no double-layer sheer-plus-drape setup
  • Clip hooks may not suit curtains with rod-pocket headers

Questions and answers

Is this track worth it over a plain curtain rod?
If you want a baton-operated traverse track and a low-profile look, yes. A standard rod costs less but you pull the fabric by hand and it projects further from the wall.
Will it fit a 60 inch window?
No. The track tops out at 48 inches. For wider windows you need a longer track or two sets joined, which this kit is not designed for.
Can I mount it on the ceiling?
No. It is a wall-mount track only. Ceiling mounting needs a different bracket style.
What is in the box?
The track, wall brackets, mounting hardware, a baton and hooks with clips. Curtains and a ceiling mount are not included.
Does it work with grommet or rod-pocket curtains?
It works best with curtains that hang from hooks, such as pleated or tab-top styles with rings. Grommet and rod-pocket curtains are designed to slide on a rod, not clip to a track.
When is it cheapest?
Track sets like this tend to dip during home-decor sales and end-of-season clearances. Check the price history before buying; the current best is $47.24 at Overstock as of November 4, 2026.
