Our take on the InUSA Women's Deep Lightweight Hardside Spinner 20in

The InUSA Women's Deep Lightweight Hardside Spinner is a 20-inch carry-on built from PC/ABS with a scratch- and water-resistant finish. It weighs 7.27 lbs, rolls on four 360-degree spinner wheels and has a push-button retractable trolley plus gel top and side handles. The listed size (25.59 in tall) reads closer to a large carry-on or small checked bag, so measure before you fly. Its 3.4-star rating from 116 ratings suggests mixed owner satisfaction.

Questions and answers

Is this bag really a carry-on?
At 25.59 in tall it is above the 22-23 in limit most US airlines set for carry-ons. Measure it against your airline's rules before relying on it as a cabin bag.
How much does it weigh?
7.27 lbs empty, which is light for a hardside and leaves more of your weight allowance for contents.
Does it have a lock?
No. The push-button trolley lock secures the handle, not the zipper. You would need a separate TSA-approved luggage lock.
Is the shell durable?
It is PC/ABS with a scratch-resistant finish, which handles scuffs but is less impact-resistant than full polycarbonate. Expect some wear on checked trips.
What is inside?
A 210D polyester lining with multiple zippered pockets and a 16.6-gallon capacity. There are no exterior pockets.
When is it cheapest?
Hardside carry-ons typically drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history before buying.
