- Is $89.99 a good price for this set?
- Yes. Three-piece hardside sets usually cost more, and $89.99 at JCPenney as of November 8, 2026 is at the low end. Only three stores price it new, so comparison shopping is quick.
- Are the cases carry-on size?
- The set includes a carry-on plus larger checked cases. Check each airline's carry-on limits, since the largest case must be checked.
- Is the lock TSA-approved?
- It is a three-dial combination lock, not a TSA-recognized lock on all versions. Security may need to break it open if they inspect a checked bag.
- How much does the expansion add?
- Up to 2 inches of depth per case, which is roughly a few days of extra clothing.
- Is ABS durable enough for frequent flying?
- ABS is the entry-level hardside plastic. It handles occasional trips but is more prone to cracks than polycarbonate under rough handling.
- What comes in the box?
- The three Zane hardside cases in carry-on and checked sizes. No packing cubes or bags are included.
