Is $799 a good price for the Jackery 2000 Plus?

Yes. $799 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026 is far below the $1,200–$1,500 the base unit has typically sold for, so it is a strong buy if you need this capacity.

How long will it run a refrigerator?

A typical full-size fridge drawing 150–200 W average will run roughly 10–13 hours on the 2 kWh base unit. Adding battery packs extends that proportionally.

Can I expand the capacity later?

Yes. Add-on battery packs connect to the main unit and can raise total capacity to around 12 kWh. They are sold separately and are the main added cost.

How fast does it recharge?

About two hours from a standard wall outlet, and it accepts up to 1,000 W of solar input for off-grid charging.

Does it work with a transfer switch for home backup?

It can feed a transfer switch or subpanel through its AC outlet, but check that your loads stay within its roughly 3,000 W output. For 240 V appliances you need the separate parallel kit and a second unit.

What comes in the box?

The power station, an AC charging cable, a car charging cable and the user manual. Solar panels and expansion batteries are sold separately.

It charges from a wall outlet in about two hours and supports solar input, making it a home-backup and off-grid workhorse rather than a camping gadget.
